De La Salle Academy

Founded in 1984 by Brother Brian Carty, FSC, De La Salle Academy is a private, independent, non-sectarian middle school located in Manhattan. The school's student body includes youngsters from all five boroughs of New York City. De La Salle is the only private, independent school in New York City for academically talented, economically disadvantaged boys and girls in grades six through eight. Our admissions policy is need-blind; each year we have to raise over 80% of the school's annual budget from sources other than tuition.

The pride and achievement of our faculty, the joyful enthusiasm and gratitude of our alumni and current student body are illustrated in this Web site. We are blessed to have so many friends who believe in our mission and who support our unique work. We are truly creating a bright and hope-filled future for the children we have come to know and love here at De La Salle Academy.
